Our Speakers

Here is the first of the very brief bios on our speakers.  Dr. Pestana will be giving the first of our talks, Natural Law and the Life Issues.  The purpose of this talk is to demonstrate how abortion, contraception and euthanasia are contrary to reason, independent of revelation.

As promised, here is the bio, pulled from the website of Grand Valley State University:

Mark Pestana earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Chicago and an M.A. at the University of Kentucky. He also holds a B.A. from Colby College.
His main interests are ethics, medieval philosophy, metaphysics, and the philosophy of mind. He is the author of Moral Virtue or Mental Health? (Peter Lang Publishing, 1998).
